Attorney Cory S. Arter
Attorney Arter has 30 years of experience representing clients in the District, Superior and Probate Courts of Massachusetts, as well as the United States District Court and the Department of Industrial Accidents.
Attorney Arter graduated with high honors from Suffolk University Law School in Boston in 1990.
After law school, Attorney Arter spent 13 years working as a senior trial attorney for CNA Insurance Companies, defending their policyholders in personal injury claims filed against them in the District and Superior Courts of Massachusetts, as well as in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
After leaving CNA, attorney Arter opened her own practice representing clients in the District, Superior, Appeals and Probate Courts of Massachusetts.
Her current practice primarily focuses on Divorce, Child Custody, Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, as well as all areas of Probate and Family Law.

Attorney Arter is a member of both the Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Bristol County Bar Association. She is an adjunct professor of law at Suffolk University Law School in Boston, and previously worked as a professor at the University of Massachusetts School of Law.
Attorney Arter was recognized as a "Rising Star" in Massachusetts, and was subsequently named a "Massachusetts Super Lawyer" on three occasions by Super Lawyers and Thompson Reuters, receiving recognition in the "Best of Boston" from Boston Magazine.
She is a certified conciliator with the Bristol County Probate and Family Court's 'Conciliation Program', and a trained mediator and conciliator for both civil litigation claims, and complex divorce cases.

Attorney Arter also serves as a certified post-conviction panel member for the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Service, representing indigent criminal defendants before the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
